Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of relations between P. A. Sorokin and E. V. De-Roberti. The role of de-Roberti in the development of Sorokin's scientific interests is considered. It is noted that the greatest influence de-Roberti had on Sorokin in terms of the formation of scientific interests of his student, in particular, it was E. V. who drew the attention of his student to the idea of progress, which played an important role in the future fate of Sorokin. The Appendix to the article contains a previously unknown article-Sorokin's obituary, dedicated to the memory of E. V. de-Roberti
