Abstract

With regard to the problems of the theoretical description of social processes, “smart” technologies are instructive in terms of the views underlying them. One of the guiding principles is the creation of knowledge about social processes with the help of actors of these processes. In contrast to the classical big social theories, smart technology developers seek to maximize the source base of the theory. As a resource for such an expansion in smart technologies, it is supposed to use knowledge that is possessed not only by professional sociologists and the respondents chosen by them, but, ideally, all those individuals whose activities support the functioning of the social system itself. Thus, classical social theory, as a means of describing a social system, is replaced by intellectual technology itself.
