The dynamics of industrial accidents by types is considered: transport, industrial, mixed. Socio-demographic losses are estimated. The largest number of technological accidents in Russia occurs in transport, they account for 62 % of all deaths and 11 % of all injured during the period 1990-2019. cumulative result. The study revealed that direct population losses as a result of the largest technological accidents over thirty years were not so significant: 6.5 thousand people were killed and about 10 thousand were injured, compared with annual losses, for example, from suicide or homicide. For the period 1990-2018. the total number of deaths due to technological disasters in the total number of deaths from external causes did not exceed 0.1 %. The absence of regularities in the occurrence and occurrence of technological disasters has been established: the dynamic range of the number of accidents, the total number of fatalities and injuries resulting from technological disasters in Russia can not be described using the trend.
