The aim of the research is the overall assessment of its influence on household well-being. As methodological tools, the work employs the authors' developments in the field of criteria standards of money income and precarious employment. The empirical base of the study is the data from the Monitoring of the Economic and Health Situation in Russia (2018) supplemented by official statistics. The authors identified and determined the sizes of four groups of employees: with sustainable (precarious) employment and secure (unsecure) household well-being. The article provides the characteristic of each group. The combination of two unfavorable criteria of living standards localize the precarious social and labor situation of households in the fourth group of employees - with precarious employment and unsecure household wellbeing. This group differs from the others by the most unfavorable characteristics of the distribution of wages. Their households more often face the lack of opportunities for high-quality food, accumulation of savings for large purchases, improvement of housing conditions, etc. Representatives of this group more often assess their well-being as unsecure. Based on the analysis, the authors proposed practical recommendations to reduce the influence of precarious employment on household well-being.
