Abstract

Article examines the methodological and methodological foundations of the political economy of election campaigns in Russian regions. First of all, attention is paid to the theoretical foundations of the study of political economy of election campaigns, which postulate the relationship between economic institutions and the electoral process. Research approaches are analyzed, which offer a view of the electoral processes in post-communist countries. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the political technology community in the triad of the election campaign: key players, their interests and forms of interaction. Further, the methodological potential in the study of the political technology community as a kind of professional community is considered. The second part of the work presents an empirical analysis of the data.
