Abstract

Improving the quality of the population is a task and an indicator of the development of society. The development of strategic principles for its solution is significantly facilitated by the grouping of regions according to the criteria of population quality. On the basis of the previously developed typology, clusters with southern regions are studied. The analysis of their common characteristics and differences had determined the main factors that formed the qualitative characteristics of the population: economic, geographical and cultural (national lifestyle trends).
