Abstract

The article presents the results of original sociological research “Family and family values: a perspective of generations”, held ISPR FCTAS RAS in 2019 (number of respondents 1652 people – citizens of Russia, Belarus and Tajikistan) and based on the identification of the system of life values, the place of the family in the value system. The results demonstrate a focus on personal independence as an alternative to family values. The preference for optional friendly communication within the family and kinship contacts is only one of the directions of this orientation
