Abstract

The article is about understanding in the field of social communication: it is a special type of communicative activity that provides constructive action and interactions in personal and social relationships, as well as success in socialization and adaptation processes. The article is made in line with the semio-sociopsychology concept of social communication, where the subject of understanding in the interaction of man with the sociocultural environment, as well as with each other, are constant virtual meanings (meaning structures). The article examines, on the one hand, the motive-target principles of the internal organization of meaning structures, as well as, on the other hand, the peculiarities of their understanding, revealed by fixing traces of mental processes. The statement about social expediency and the possibility of mass development of understanding skills in the field of social communication, which is confirmed by the data of the experiments and which is a main condition of communication activity, is the main pathos of the article.
