Abstract

The pertinence of studying ideas about family education strate-gies for different generations, taking into account cross-country differences, stems from the growing interest in modern society in the implementation of social policy strategies that enables the family to effectively fulfill its functions in a mosaic of family models and the transformation of ideas about family lifestyles. In the current sociological and peda-gogical studies, the problem of transforming the educational strategies of the family as a reflection of a changingsystem of values in society is quite fragmented, which cannot but affect the value of the family and family lifestyle. Of particular interest is the analysis of the views of representatives of various generations from different countries, which will allowus to characterize the specifics of educational strategies in Russian families. The goal of the study:to identify the trends and specifics of the development of educational strategies in the families of a number of countries in the post-Soviet space in the context of the transformation of social relations and the institution of the family. Research meth-odology:The methodological basis of the research is the functional, institutional and com-parative approaches to the analysis of the family and family policy. A comparative anal-ysis of the transformation of educational strategies of different generations and their cross-country differences was carried out on the basis of the data of the author's sociolog-ical study “Family and Family Generations: A Look of Generations”, conducted by the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Institute of Social and Political Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the summer and autumn of 2019. The object of thestudy included respondents aged 14 to 50, residents of Russia, Belarus and Tajikistan. The volume of the sample totaled 1 652 people. Results and scientific novelty:The nov-elty of the study is to identify trends and specifics in the development of educational strategies of the family for different generations in the conditions of transformation of social relations and the institution of the family. The results of the study can be used in the implementation of family policy measures: in the formation of methodological sup-port for the mechanism of interaction between the family and other social institutions; training of professional staff of specialists working with the family; the formation of the-matic media content; conceptual and legislative foundations of family policy; monitoring the assessment of the effectiveness of family policy
