The conceptual basis of the study was the results of content analysis of information messages and photographs published in Internet publications in March, April and the first half of may 2020, since the world health organization declared a pandemic on March 11 and closed borders in many countries, including the Russian Federation and Central Asian countries. A total of 130 publications were analyzed. Analysis of texts of various materials the Internet-editions revealed mostly negative tone in the presentation of the situation of migrants and the difficulties of labour migrants in Russia is complicated by the spread of fake information on the infected, the cyberbullying, the outbreak of xenophobic attitudes and enhance migrantophobia, thus the media not only create positive attitudes towards migrants, and Vice versa, often provoke a negative reaction from readers
