Abstract

The main content of the article is an analysis of the ideological views and preferences of residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region, which fully reflect the specificity of modern Russian society as postmodern. The work is based on the results of a study of socio-economic views and value dispositions of the population of the Nizhny Novgorod region, conducted in the spring of 2018. Volga branch of the Federal research CENTER of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Group of research questions related to the ideological and political views of the respondents, were deliberately devoid of formulaic characteristics such as liberals, conservatives or Communists, and included Unallocated formulations that reflect the basic ideological dispositions that characterize the individual ideological currents at the level of popular and widespread in the information space memes. As a result, the research materials showed a fairly high level of chaotic and uncertain ideological preferences of the region's population. The question of the vector of development of political ideas is crucial at any of the critical stages of historical development. Today, this change is taking place in the conditions of postmodern political consciousness, ideological dispersion and diffusion. In addition, according to a number of researchers of postmodern discourse in social and political philosophy, its key difference from the discourse of the modern era it was an attempt to describe and justify the existing social order, not to describe the future.
