Socio-economic, socio-political, mass-communication and psycho-pedagogical components of corruption prevention are discussed. The study uses the data of a questionnaire survey conducted in four groups of respondents: cadets of the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, police officers, students of civil universities, representatives of general public (persons of civil professions). The sample split according to two criteria. According to the age criterion, the sample is divided into a youth segment (students and cadets) and an «adult» segment (officers and persons of civil professions). According to the professional criterion, the sample includes, on the one hand, the people involved in the activities of law enforcement agencies (police officers and cadets), and, on the other hand, the «civil» segment (representatives of civil professions and students of civil universities). It was found that the majority of respondents tend to completely or partially refute the view that economy liberalization and the market's independence from the state are the best means of preventing corruption in relations between business and power. Notably, the number of absolutely dissenting prevails in the segment of police officers and cadets. The interviewed persons also predominantly disagree that it is high wages that will protect officials from corruption temptations. In this case, the number of completely dissenting prevails in the youth segment of the sample. In the adult segment, respondents place special hopes on the civil culture development as a way to counter corruption, while young people place this function primarily on the media. Police officers and cadets pay more attention to the educational potential (school and family) of corruption prevention. In the youth environment, great importance is attached to psychodiagnostics, professional selection and training anticorruption methods.
