Abstract

Discussions about expanding the functions of nurses, increasing their role and professional status reflect the potential opportunities and risks of innovation. The authors, in their original scientific research using sociological methods (2020), identified the expectations of metropolitan nurses regarding the expansion of their functional duties and fears associated with an increase in the level of responsibility and work load. It has been determined that the strengthening of certain labor attitudes of medical workers as a result of reflection on innovations that are significant for them in health care, introduced in recent years and causing ambiguous assessments, as well as modern working conditions are of key importance for the perception of a new model of a nurse.
