Abstract

The monograph presents the results of scientific research carried out by the staff of the ISPR FCTAS RAS and IDR FCTAS RAS within the framework of the state assignments of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The most important political event for the country was the nationwide voting on the issue of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The main global event of 2020, which determined the socio-political and demographic situation, was the COVID-19 pandemic. The consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia and the countries of the world have to be overcome against the backdrop of a recession in the global economy, closure of borders, restrictions on movement, tensions in international relations. The monograph reflects the key trends in the socio-political and demographic situation in Russia, identified on the basis of scientific research by scientists from ISPR FCTAS RAS and IDR FCTAS RAS.
