Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of falsification of history, which has become extremely aggravated in the 21st century. The process of manipulating historical consciousness seems to be an integral part of falsification. The authors consider some frequently used manipulation mechanisms and technologies, analyzing their application in the context of distorting the facts and events of the Great Patriotic War. The article analyzes the consequences of information impact on the historical and value consciousness of young people. The authors' conclusions are based on the results of sociological studies conducted in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Research is aimed at analyzing changes in the value consciousness of modern youth
