Abstract

The article is devoted to the relevant aspect of the national security of the country, which is fixed in the framework of regulatory state documents – manipulation of public consciousness and methods of influencing it. The main content of the article considers both the process of mind manipulation itself, which uses hidden methods of socio-psychological influence, and the instrumental methods themselves. Within the framework of various interdisciplinary national scientific studies on this issue (sociology, psychology, political science, law, etc.), key methods are identified, such as: coercion, suggestion (suggestion), persuasion, propaganda, agitation, stereotyping (programming) and problematization. It is noted that in terms of content and type of impact, the methods are interchangeable, complement each other and include many different types and techniques. Also voiced the fact that in the modern research field there is no single unified typology (classification). As part of the further actualization of this area of scientific research, its thematic continuation, as well as the unification of the most common, but disparate methods of influencing public consciousness in the scientific literature, the author suggests their structural unification into a single visual construct-scheme.
