Abstract

The article is devoted to the General theoretical principles of the Institute of propaganda as part of a relevant and enshrined in normative documents of the state of protection of national security. The content of the article considers both the method itself and its key characteristics (the presence of the process of mind manipulation and mandatory structural elements, the existence of a clear internal logic, the combined use of a number of methods of influencing public consciousness, targeting the emotional-volitional sphere, etc.), and the main approaches to the scientific classification of propaganda combined in the author's scheme. The authors note that this area of scientific research contains a significant research potential in the framework of preserving the national security of the country.
