Abstract

In the conditions of transition to market economy among its many problems is of particular importance priority tasks associated with the regulation of the labour market, a sustained decline in unemployment in all regions, ensuring effective employment of the working population. This study examines some aspects of the formation of the labor market at the present stage, shows the problems and contradictions of its formation, the features of the current state of employment in the Russian Federation. A special place is given to the problems of unemployment and ways out of the crisis, as well as the main areas of activity of employment services. When writing the article, materials of the periodical press, scientific articles, data of the State Statistics Committee of the Russian Federation and other materials were used.
