Abstract

The process of aging of the population is currently causing serious demographic, economic, social, socio-psychological, and cultural consequences. Demographers, first of all, pay attention to the fact that the progressive aging of the population leads to a change in its age structure. In this context, of particular importance is the rehabilitation of elderly people, the purpose of which is to provide these people with the most complete social adaptation at a new stage of life, the search for mechanisms of competent assistance in crisis situations of life and reduce to a minimum the negative consequences. It is noted that the strengthening of the mental and physical health of citizens, as well as the prolongation of life, contributes to the social activity of citizens, their involvement in the life of society, systematic work, which in turn gives a sense of social fullness, strengthens the position of the pensioner in the family and society.
