Abstract

The authors of the article, based on statistics and sociological research, conclude that the persistent and reproducing imbalances in the socio-economic development of the regions are fairly stable and represent a certain self-replicating system. The analysis of the situation in the PFI regions allowed the authors to substantiate the conclusion that the ethnic structure of the regions, which are in a state of interference with differences in basic socio-economic characteristics, influence the persistence and, in some cases, the deepening of differences in their living conditions.
