The article presents the results of the All-Russian sociological study «Demographic well-being of Russia», which allowed us to characterize the reproductive behavior of Russians. A detailed assessment of reproductive attitudes based on the preferred number of children is given and the obstacles to the birth of the desired number of children are characterized. Measures that promote the growth of childbearing are proposed.
