Abstract

The article examines modern trends in the circular economy, describes the characteristics of the jobs involved in the program of the global circular economy, provides an overview of the quantitative and qualitative state of the main industries included in the categories of the circular economy in the world and in Russia. The interdisciplinary plan for the development of professional skills on the way to following the principles of the circular economy comes to the fore, the IT sphere in the service of bio and engineering solutions, management, energy saving and energy efficiency are especially relevant. The most active in terms of the number of jobs in the circular economy is replenishing the waste management industry, the iron and steel industry, and the food industry. The number of workers in the agricultural sector is decreasing due to the processes of eco-modernization and mechanization of production. Complementary green jobs and leaders in green office adoption are the IT industry and banking.
