Abstract

The objective of the article is to study the topology of political communications amid the formation of network society. The topological context of political communications studies suggests addressing the main topological notions, i.e. space, shape, time as well as such phenomena as morphogenesis and homeomorphism. The main content of the article features a research of a number of theoretical and methodological approaches of political topology in communicatory and communication aspects. It was demonstrated based on works by K.Levin, P.Bourdieu, R.Thom, J.Law that topological aspect of discourse about political processes and phenomena in socio-humanitarian knowledge introduces new approaches and concepts making it possible to characterize different sides of transformation processes today. The author implements the methods of content analysis, discourse analysis, systematic approach, network approach to identify topological aspects of political communications.  The analysis carried out by the author showed that in network society there are significant changes in political space (also under the influence of informatization, networkization, digitalization) based on technological and humanitarian innovations) with forms and practice of political communications undergoing transformation. Interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of political communications broadens the range of their research.
