Abstract

The article analyzes the various points of view of Chinese scientists on the process of urbanization within the framework of considering it as the main factor in the uneven development of urban and rural areas in modern China. According to the leading Chinese theorists in the study of the urbanization of the PRCXie Wenhui, Tang Zongli, He Nianzhu, Tsai Fang, Yang Junhui, this process should mainly be understood as the expansion of rural areas, the transformation of villages into cities, an increase in the urban population as key factors in the regional development of modern China.
